The Word made flesh, leads us to “walk as He walks” ...

God morning! Thank you Lord for this day, thank you for sharing your time with us, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In Jesus/Yahushua’s holy name...We thank you that we are filled with You in Love and Grace, as we learn more and grow in Your Word, and in You. Take from us anything that may hinder our growth, and anything that is not of You, we thank you for less of us more of You.
As we see one another as brothers, and sisters, as Your children, in One Body, and One Church...Your Church, as we walk under your protection from anything not of You, or Your will, as we are filled with your Word, and still in your peace, we are Yours’, Blessed & grateful. Blessed be the Lord God Almighty, the Son & Holy Spirit.
(Thank you, for all things in Yahushua's Holy Name...we say Ephphatha, “be opened”, to hearing, and speaking the Word with the Holy Spirit..so be it. )
So, last week was the announcement and the introduction of the King....the trumpet (John TB, Elijah) ...a voice crying in the wilderness, and the Spirit descends upon Him. Wow, a voice from heaven speaks of Him and who He is… Luke 3:22 “22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.” This is the anointing from YHWH Himself. John witnesses and washes Him(symbolically cleansing Him and announcing His walk in the YHWH), the LORD GOD then anoints with The Holy Spirit and gives His confirmation. This is no ordinary anointing as Samuel did for Saul or David, this is YHWH own anointing...but, like David was announced King before his taking of the throne, this is the same here...here is your King, Blessed by and full of the Father, our Lord God, and the Holy Ghost. (put attention!) Time to be born again, as I AM here!
We’re reminded of this in 1 Cor 13:11, this age signifies a divine invitations to maturity and mission.
1 Corinthians 13:11 KJV 1900
11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
Most men in those days begin ministry at age 30 and older. We saw this in the last chapter
Luke 3:23 “23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,”
Numbers 4:3 “3 From thirty years old and upward even until fifty years old, all that enter into the host, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation.”
even David 2 Samuel 5:4 “4 David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years.”
Luke 4:1–13 KJV 1900
1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, 2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. 3 And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. 4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. 5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. 7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. 8 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. 9 And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence: 10 For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee: 11 And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. 12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. 13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.
I know I have done this teaching before about being led to be tempted, into the wilderness. 40 days being tempted of evil...what!? How many of us can handle 1 day being tempted. How about food for 40 days, that alone seems impossible, right? So, you make it 40 days through the wilderness, you’re hangry right? This evil person shows up and taunts you, as some people are great at this. ...if you are who they/you say you are...here, make these bread(food). Christ is a little smarter than this, as He uses ONLY the Word of YHWH to answer this request.
Deuteronomy 8:3 “3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live.”
Here comes another...power and glory, just worship me. Now, we see this everyday here on earth, look around you, politics, laws, entertainment, all used for men to worship other men and themselves(fortune/fame), but Christ knows better...He says YHWH FIRST! simple and decisive!
Deuteronomy 6:13 “13 Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.”
Finally he tries His love for YHWH and His beliefs(religion), but watch satan know the bible, he knows the Pentateuch, the scriptures...and quotes Psalm 91. Christ quotes
Deuteronomy 6:16 “16 Ye shall not tempt the Lord your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.”
This whole time he was testing Him to be like him...what do all of these have in common? PRIDE...show me a sign that THOU ART THE SON OF GOD...use YOUR POWERS in pride as i do...
BEING IN THE WILDERNESS AND DEPNDING ON HIM....HUNGERED, THIRSTY, ...ALONE? He was humble in His Father’s Love and Protection! He didn’t need to prove Himself although He did with in Faith, Hope and Love as we are taught by Him! To walk as He walks!
Luke 4:14–22 KJV 1900
14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. 15 And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all. 16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. 17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, 18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. 20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him. 21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. 22 And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph’s son?
YHWH is everywhere before us, and as Christ just schooled satan in the Word Himself, here YHWH gives Christ a verse that speaks of Himself. They have heard of His works, He reads and His words were gracious, but wait...is He not the son of Joseph
Isaiah 61:1–2 “1 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; Because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to them that are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all that mourn;”
Before they even speak it aloud, He knows what they will do and tells of Elijah and the widow, food and resurrection, then Elisha cleansed a leper, captain of the host of the King...
Luke 4:23–27 KJV 1900
23 And he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country. 24 And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country. 25 But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land; 26 But unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow. 27 And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian.
Here comes the anger, the pharisees strike again...who does He think He is!
Luke 4:28–32 KJV 1900
28 And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath, 29 And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong. 30 But he passing through the midst of them went his way, 31 And came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and taught them on the sabbath days. 32 And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his word was with power.
So, He leaves, as it is not His time yet, and teaches throughout Capernaum, and they are astonished, words of power. (a very diverse city with roman tax collectors, soldiers, travelers)
Luke 4:33–37 KJV 1900
349:3 And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice, 34 Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God. 35 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not. 36 And they were all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out. 37 And the fame of him went out into every place of the country round about.
He casts out demons with His Word, and His reputation is spreading.
Luke 4:38–44 KJV 1900
38 And he arose out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon’s house. And Simon’s wife’s mother was taken with a great fever; and they besought him for her. 39 And he stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her: and immediately she arose and ministered unto them. 40 Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them. 41 And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ. 42 And when it was day, he departed and went into a desert place: and the people sought him, and came unto him, and stayed him, that he should not depart from them. 43 And he said unto them, I must preach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I sent. 44 And he preached in the synagogues of Galilee.
This is so important as it relates to the very beginning of the “anointing”...then being led to the wilderness for a direct confrontation with evil himself, temptation, the opposition to all that is good.
What He is doing now, seems to be second nature, childs play, w/o any disrespect for who Christ is, but He seeks no recognition, fame, glory, at all. He glorifies the Father in all He does. He tells people tell no one, even the evil spirits, He shuts them up, and they must obey. He takes no glory in this...humbly He states:
John 7:16 “16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.”
He is the prophesied Messiah Isaiah 60:1 “1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, And the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.”
Romans 11:36 “36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.”
People follow Him into the desert, and are so amazed and enlightened...
Isaiah 49:6 KJV 1900
6 And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant To raise up the tribes of Jacob, And to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, That thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.
...they do not want Him to leave them! They know who He is, they see, hear and feel Him in His presence!
at the end of His Walk, confirming who He is....
John 17:4–5 “4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. 5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.”
He is Our Savior, Messiah, The Loving Word of YHWH sent to save not condemn, to enlighten not imprison, to teach Truth and set us free...
John 8:36 “36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”
In HIm we are free, we dont have to use our silly human strength, we have HIM! Like Him we use the WORD/HIM made flesh to defeat the evil that exists, to fight temptation in HIm and through Him we Live!
Acts 17:28 KJV 1900
28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
Children of the Father, chosen long before the world...before the foundations of the world
Ephesians 1:4 KJV 1900
4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Let’s therefore be like Christ, His children, and walk as Christ walks!
